What a great book....this is another one of those modern day romance chic novels but it isn't the typical Susan Elizabeth Phillips book. This isn't the typical boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl and they live happily ever after.....there is a little more than that in this book. And even as a surprise some of the characters from Match Me If You Can have reappeared in this book as well.
Susan Elizabeth Phillips did it again and I would have to say this is one of my favorites from her.
Enjoy!!!!
Happy reading!!!!
Mickey and Mini are so excited that we are having a baby and they are also very curious about everything. Last weekend we were at HEB doing a little grocery shopping and as we were in the grocery store Mickey asked me, "Karen did you get a shot to make you pregnant?" Needless to say the man standing just behind me when Mickey asked the question nearly pee'd on himself when he heard the question.
My response to Mickey, "well....it's not exactly a "shot"...."
How else do you respond to a seven year old, in the grocery store when he asks you if you get a shot to get you pregnant?????
Susan Elizabeth Phillips did it again....This is another modern day romance novel (like most of the books that I read). Much like most modern day romance novels, you can pretty much predict the ending from the first few pages...however, like most all of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books, it's the well written story line that holds your attention and this one is no different.
Enjoy!
Happy Reading....
I went to the baby doc this morning and everything looks good. I am 19 weeks and 6 days. Almost half way there....yeah!!!!!
Last weekend John and I took the kids to Sea World in San Antonio for Halloween. Being that I do not get into the Halloween celebration and the kids absolutely love it, we came up with a happy medium....we went to Sea World.
On Sunday morning when we woke up, I was stirring around trying to pack up so we could leave and head back home and Mickey looks right at me and says, "Karen, turn around and let me see if our baby grew at all last night".
So I have made it through the first 3 months of pregnancy (how I made it, I don't know) and I no longer feel like I have the ever lasting hang-over from hell. My belly is showing pretty good but more than anything....my boobs are HUGE!!! I'm not into big boobs, actually I think they are pretty gross and now that I have these boobs that look like they weigh 5 pounds each, I hate big boobs even more.
So not only have I gone from a size 4 to what feels like I should be shopping in the plus size department, my boobs are so big I'm going to need back surgery just to repair the damage that is being done to my back trying to hold these things up.
Everyone keeps asking if I have felt the baby move in my belly at all and no I haven't, however, I do keep having these sharp pains in my boobs.....maybe she is growing in there instead......
And just as a warning.......the next person who says to me, "wow your boobs are huge".....I'm going to take them out!!!!
So now we know that we are having a little girl.....What's the first thing I want to do....
That's right....I want to name this little baby girl.
Mickey, Mini and I have come up with several names that we think are just perfect....the only problem is that John hasn't seemed to like any of the names we come up with.
So after a while of us throwing names out there and nothing sticking with John, Mickey looks right at John and says, "Daddy this IS Karen's baby and she can name her what ever she wants to."
Go Mickey!
